This is a segment from the 60 minutes program on the industry that makes the artificial and natural flavorings found in canned, boxed, and packaged (processed) foods. There are several interesting discoveries in their research, not the least is the fact that the “natural” flavorings don’t necessarily come from what’s implied on the label. For example; natural strawberry flavor can come from the gland in a beaver’s backside. Now doesn’t that sound appetizing? Yet more reason to stop eating “food” that is manufactured.
